THE KIDS HAVE ARRIVED
We were very fortunate to be able to do some special training with our staff in August to help us prepare for working with the unique needs our children sometimes have. We are implementing PaxTools in our centers this year. PaxTools help us create safe supportive environments and gives us some new skills for handling behavior challenges.
Our kindergarteners are getting the hang of the schedule and expectations. Most of our kids are returning to us from last year so they have jumped right back into the swing of things. Third graders seem a little overwhelmed with the increased responsibility and behavior expectations at the West building but I know they will settle in.
