The 2025 Challenge is $200,000!
Wow, October is already here. That means it’s time to gear up for our annual
fundraising challenge. I have shared we have a few facility needs that we must
prioritize in the near future including new playground structures (ours are over 20 years
old) and we would like to upgrade our security capabilities at both facilities. Our
classrooms need some technology updating and of course we also have the on going
operational costs which are continually increasing due to the rising costs of everything
from food, classroom supplies, and utilities. We are very dedicated to keeping the
Cherry Street Youth Center a FREE after school and summer program for the children
of Chanute. That makes the next three months crucial for our budget!
I am so happy to share, we have the first half of our challenge matched! That
means the first $100,000 we receive will get 100% matched, basically doubling each
donation. I am looking for other partner donors that would be willing to match any

of is able to help us with matching funds! Our fundraising goal is large but to be honest
so are our needs.

donate online through our Facebook page (Cherry Street Youth Center) or our web site
at www.cherrystreet.org. All donations made to us count towards a tax deduction for
you. We will mail tax documentation automatically for annual donations of $200 or
more after the first of the year.
